Recommendation 8

Problem: The three block section of the Jordan River Parkway Trail between 200 South and North Temple has yet to be completed. This gap is the only section of the trail that remains to be completed in Salt Lake City. Once this gap is completed, there will be a continuous trail from 8500 South along the Midvale/Sandy border north connecting to the Legacy Parkway Trail, which runs continuously to Farmington.

Recommendation: Salt Lake City should work with property owners (including the State of Utah, Rocky Mountain Power, Questar Gas, Union Pacific, and the Salt Lake, Garfield, and Western Railroad) to complete the trail.

Update: It is rumored that construction to complete the trail will begin before the end of 2012.
